A facelift will affect mostly the face below the eyes and especially the neck and jowl.
This surgery is usually performed as outpatient surgery.
This procedure is done under heavy sedation and local anesthesia, less commonly general anesthetic. This helps prevent complications of hematoma and eyelid deformities.
The surgery usually takes about 4 hours to perform. You will be swollen and black and blue for 7-14 days. You can use makeup within 48 hours to help hide the bruising.
Most people take one or two weeks off work; longer if the need to be in people-contact positions is important.
Sutures are usually removed in 5-7 days following surgery. You will also have a follow-up appointment 6 weeks after sugery.
This surgery is done outpatient and usually takes about 1-2 hours to do.
Eyelid surgery is done under sedation and local anesthesia.
Swelling and possibly (not probably) black eyes.

This surgery is usually performed as outpatient surgery unless massive suction is required (which is very rare). This is sometimes done with other procedures, i.e. tummy tuck.
Most commonly done on the hips, thighs, knees, and abdomen. Less commonly on the upper arms, ankles and small areas of the face.
Depending on the areas done, it is usually general anesthetic, but small localized areas can be done under local anesthesia (not hips).
You will be swollen, black and blue for 10-14 days. You will be somewhat sore, especially in lower legs. You will have to wear a pressure garment.
This surgery usually takes 1 to 2 hours and is performed as outpatient surgery under general anesthesia.
Swelling, erythema (redness) and some discomfort that will take 2-3 weeks to subside, depending on the agent used.
To take care of fine wrinkles, but not deep wrinkles or crow's feet and nasolabial fold. You will have the best results when you pretreat for several weeks with Retin-A or 'fruit acid.' A prescription for this can be given out at your intitial consultation.
The laser treatments work well for all port-wine stains and most hemangiomas.
