Cellfina Takes It to Your Cellulite
- Posted on: Mar 15 2020
If you’re a woman, no matter what your level of fitness, odds are you have at least some cellulite. Nine out of 10 women have cellulite, making it a universally hated condition. Despite the false promises of many supposed cellulite treatments, there hasn’t been much anyone could do to get rid of this telltale dimpling of the skin on the thighs and bottom.
But that has changed with Cellfina™. Cellfina™ is an FDA-approved procedure that dramatically improves the appearance of cellulite for at least three years. We offer Cellfina™ at Saltz Plastic Surgery.
What is Cellfina™?
Cellfina™ treats the primary cause of cellulite, the connective bands woven throughout the fat in the thighs and buttocks. This in-office procedure is minimally invasive and only takes around an hour.
How does Cellfina work?
In the procedure, together we first identify the dimpled areas you want to target. Then the area of the skin is treated with topical anesthetic. The Cellfina™ System uses a suction stabilizer to pull the skin taut and stretch the cellulite-causing connective bands. A specially designed handpiece then releases the bands. This technology that breaks the connective bands is proprietary. Once the connective bands are released the skin bounces back upwards, no longer pulled down selectively by the bands.
How long will it be before I see results?
Your results are not immediate, as the tissue needs to settle. Results will show themselves in as little as three days, as the skin calms down. From there, Cellfina™ research of patient satisfaction shows these positives:
- Patient satisfaction at three months is 85%
- Patient satisfaction is 94% at one year
- Patient satisfaction is 96% at two years.
Cellfina’s results just keep getting better!
How long does the procedure take?
A Cellfina™ treatment with the team at Saltz takes about one hour. During this time, on average, 20 to 30 pinky nail to thumbnail-size dimples can be treated.
