Your Face is Requesting a HydraFacial

Everyone loves a facial; they’re so relaxing. When you have some exfoliation and pore clearing as part of your facial, things can get a little uncomfortable, and your skin can become red and sensitive afterwards. That’s especially true in our dry winter air of Utah, where we’re constantly transitioning between frigid outdoor air and forced heated indoor air.

That’s why at Saltz Plastic Surgery/Spa Vitoria we go typical facials one better with the HydraFacial MD. This awesome treatment for all skin types brings advanced medical technology to the facial for a treatment that has become very popular across the country.

What is HydraFacial MD®?

The HydraFacial MD® treatment is a “hydradermabrasion” of sorts. That’s a term you probably won’t hear in a science lecture at the U, but it combines deep cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and antioxidant protection simultaneously. The treatment results in clearer, healthier skin without any discomfort, downtime, or recovery.

How is the HydraFacial MD treatment done?

HydraFacial MD® is four-step process that cleanses, evenly exfoliates, and extracts impurities and dead skin cells while at the same time replenishing vital nutrients including antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. The treatment is delivered through a proprietary wand that combines a gentle rotating brush with suction pressure.

  • Step 1 — Vortex-Exfoliation

We attach the first head that uses Activ-4 serum and suction to remove surface dead skin cells and open and clear pores. This uncovers the brighter, healthier skin beneath.

  • Step 2 — Vortex-Peel

In step 2, through the wand we apply Glysal serum, which consists of a mixture of glycolic and salicylic acids, the ingredients used for light peels. But this peel won’t have the usual post-peel scaling.

  • Step 3 — Vortex-Extraction

In step 3, the wand applies patented, painless vortex-suction that cleans out pores with the help of Beta-HD serum.

  • Step 4 — Vortex-Fusion

To your thoroughly cleaned and exfoliated skin, in step 4 we apply one of four Antiox+ serums (see below) through the wand. This serum application is the final step of the HydraFacial and replenishes your skin with antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid.

HydraFacials at Spa Vitoria take only around 30 minutes.

Different serums for different needs

These are the four different serums we offer at Spa Vitoria for the fourth step of your HydraFacial MD. We’ll help you decide which serum is best for your skin.

  • Brightalive Booster Serum — Designed to brighten skin tone and lessen the appearance of discoloration.
  • Growth Factor Boost — Contains naturally occurring proteins specifically designed to restore skin health, which helps diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Dermabuilder Boost — Designed to effectively address fine lines, skin tone evenness, and texture.
  • Britenol Boost — Specially formulated to target dark spots and sun-damaged areas.

The reason HydraFacial MD® has been making such a buzz in the aesthetic world is results that you can see and feel. This treatment delivers vastly improved hydration, while helping to eliminate the appearance of fine lines, hyperpigmentation, oil and congestion, and even creases in the nasolabial folds.
