RHA Filler – Beautiful at Rest. Flawless in Motion.
Introducing the RHA® Collection of designer fillers — exclusively available at Saltz Plastic Surgery in Salt Lake City and Park City locations.
The only FDA approved hyaluronic acid filler for dynamic wrinkles and folds
Dynamic wrinkles and folds appear in areas of the face that move repetitively. Your face is dynamic, making millions of movements and micro-movements every day. Movements like squinting, frowning, laughing, and talking create dynamic wrinkles and folds. These wrinkles and folds can be difficult to treat because dermal fillers may cause the area to appear stiff or unnatural when the face moves.
RHA® Collection is designed to be resilient enough to adapt to your facial movement, which may provide a more natural look at rest and in motion.
RHA Filler FAQs
» What is RHA Collection?
The RHA® Collection is Resilient Hyaluronic Acid, dermal fillers designed for facial dynamics and represents the latest advancement in hyaluronic acid (HA) technology in more than a decade, using a gentle manufacturing process to more closely resemble the natural HA in the skin.
The RHA® Collection is the first and only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid fillers for dynamic wrinkles and folds and includes three approved formulas: RHA® 2, RHA® 3, and RHA® 4.
» How is RHA Collection different than other dermal fillers?
The RHA® collection of hyaluronic acid fillers are the only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid fillers for dynamic wrinkles and folds. Like other HA dermal fillers, RHA® is made from hyaluronic acid—but RHA® is different because it’s made differently. RHA® uses a gentle manufacturing process. This process helps preserve the natural structure of the HA, helping it mimic the natural HA found in your skin. RHA® is the latest advancement in HA filler technology, purposely designed to perform in the most dynamic areas of the face without looking stiff or unnatural.
» What types of RHA fillers does Dr. Saltz offer?
There are currently three dermal fillers in the RHA Collection. These include:
- RHA 2, which is designed to smooth superficial lines like radial cheek lines and tiny vertical lines around the mouth. RHA 2 is also used for lip enhancement.
- RHA 3 is designed to reduce moderate nasolabial folds around the nose and mouth. It may also be injected near the corners of the mouth for a natural-looking lift to downturned corners.
- RHA 4 is injected into the subcutaneous layer of tissue to reduce the appearance of deeper creases and folds. This product may also be used for more structural areas such as the cheeks and jawline.
» Who is a candidate for RHA collections?
RHA fillers are FDA-approved for adults aged 22 years and older. Good candidates are those who are interested in smoothing moderate to severe dynamic facial wrinkles around the nose and mouth or other areas. The RHA Collection may also be ideal for the adult who wants to enhance contours in areas like the lips, jawline, and cheeks.
» What part of the body can be treated with RHA fillers?
The RHA® Collection of designer fillers is currently used for facial rejuvenation. The various products in this brand can smooth nasolabial folds and other creases around the nose and mouth. They can augment the cheeks and temples and add volume to the lips. RHA fillers that are more structural can be injected along the jawline to reduce the appearance of jowls and add more prominent angles.
» When can I expect to see results?
Patients can expect to see immediate results after their dermal filler injections. After treatment, it can take up to 4 weeks for the filler to fully integrate into the layer of tissue in which it was deposited. The time it takes for a filler to settle can depend not only on its depth of skin but also on its cohesiveness. While HA particles are integrating into the skin, it can be helpful to drink plenty of water. The effects of hyaluronic acid are reliant on the presence of water, and the skin is the last part of the body to receive what is available after all other organs have been hydrated, so drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day can have a beneficial effect on the outcome of RHA injections.
» How long does RHA collection last?
The RHA® Collection is designed to be long-lasting—with proven clinical effectiveness and duration of up to 15 months.
» How much does it cost?
Your cost will vary based on your individual aesthetic goals and the treatment plan your aesthetic provider designs for you.
» Why is the RHA collection only available at select providers?
The RHA® Collection is only available in select practices with a reputation for providing exceptional patient treatment outcomes.
» Are RHA fillers painful?
Like many other hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, the RHA Collection is made for comfort and outstanding results. Each of the RHA products contains a small amount of lidocaine, a local anesthetic that reduces nerve sensations in superficial tissue. We find that the vast majority of patients receive RHA fillers just fine without the need for additional pain-relief strategies such as topical numbing cream.
» Are there any risks involved with RHA fillers?
TEOXANE, the maker of the RHA Collection, lists potential risks that are similar to other dermal fillers. These include mild to moderate post-injection swelling, bruising, and pain. Though rare, risks such as infection, nodules, itching, hematoma, and allergic reaction do exist. It is important to obtain all dermal filler injections only from a trained, experienced provider. This can significantly reduce the risk of accidental intravascular injection that could have serious effects.
