Why Travel to Utah for Plastic Surgery?
Turn your surgery into a relaxing vacation
People may wonder why anyone would travel to another locale to have cosmetic plastic surgery. But when you can recover in the famous mountains of Utah, and particularly in the historic silver mining town of Park City, you understand why. After all, you’re going to have some downtime where you need to lay low and relax for anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. Why not spend that downtime in a world-renowned ski and summer mecca?
As a native of Brazil, one of the goals of Dr. Saltz with his practice is to make traveling patients feel welcome here. The settings of our Salt Lake City and Park City offices are relaxing and comforting, and the staff takes pride in making our visiting patients feel at home.

What's So Special About Utah?
Known for its natural diversity, Utah possesses an amazing array of landscapes, everything from the 12,000-foot peaks of the Wasatch Range with their 500 inches of annual snowfall to the otherworldly vistas of the state’s red rock wonders. Utah has more National Parks (five) than any other state, plus some of the West’s finest fly fishing and river rafting. It would take a lifetime to hike and mountain bike all the mountain trails you can find within a half hour of Salt Lake or just out the front door in Park City.
Salt Lake and Park City hosted the 2002 Olympic Winter Games and the venues are still actively used. You can see World Cup ski jumping, bobsled, and luge at the Utah Olympic Park in Park City. Of course, you can also ski all the runs used for the downhill, slalom, G.S., and mogul events. In Salt Lake, you can see the Athletes’ Village (now the residence halls of the University of Utah) and skate on the world’s fastest ice at the speedskating mecca of the Olympic Oval.
Beyond the Olympics, Salt Lake and the surrounding communities have plenty to see, everything from Temple Square in downtown to the beautiful mixed outdoor/indoor shopping of sparkling City Creek.
The University of Utah has a great Museum of Fine Arts and Natural History Museum, along with the Utah Utes of the Pac 12 Conference. From Salt Lake, 10 incredible ski resorts can be reached within 40 minutes.
But if you come to Utah for your plastic surgery, you really should spend at least part of your time in Park City. This mining boom town was founded in the 1880s and made the Hearst family (among many others) its fortune. Old Town is a designated Historic District and is filled with quirky bars, restaurants, and shops. The Sundance Film Festival takes over town every January. But the vibe is all skiing in the winter and mountain biking, hiking, and outdoor music all summer. The restaurant scene and variety of lodging options rivals any big city or resort in the world.
Park City is only a short 35-minute ride from the Salt Lake City International Airport, making it easy to get here. The airport is a Delta Airlines hub and offers connections to destinations in every corner of the globe.
