Juvéderm® Voluma

Juvéderm Voluma™ can restore volume and provide contouring while smoothing wrinkles. It’s the only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid-based filler designed to treat volume loss and provide lift in the midface, cheeks, and chin.

Voluma™ has a very specific recommendation for deep injection in the mid face and cheek areas. It’s also suitable for adding definition to the jawline. It should not be used under the eyes, in the lips or in the lines between the nose and mouth.

Voluma™ works well for filling lines, but it can also restore volume and provide a lift that can last up to two years with optimal treatment.

Juvéderm® Voluma™ FAQs

Voluma can restore volume and provide contouring while smoothing wrinkles. It’s the only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid-based filler designed to treat volume loss and provide lift in the midface, cheeks, and chin.

Voluma has a very specific recommendation for deep injection in the mid face and cheek areas. It’s also suitable for adding definition to the jawline. It should not be used under the eyes, in the lips or in the lines between the nose and mouth.

Voluma™ works well for filling lines, but it can also restore volume and provide a lift that can last up to two years with optimal treatment.

Most treatment sessions take only about 30 minutes.

Clinically proven results can last for up to two years.

Typically, dermal filler injections don’t require what is traditionally considered recovery time. You may experience some redness and bruising at the injection sites, but actual downtime is rarely necessary. Minimal temporary side effects from Voluma™ injections may last from one to three weeks.

Juvéderm® Voluma™ is injected with special needles (blunt tip cannulas), helping most patients return to their normal activities immediately.

Juvéderm® Voluma™ treatment providers are required to have advanced training from maker Allergan Cosmetics; however, be aware that some providers inject without the proper training and experience.

Juvéderm® and Juvéderm® Voluma™ can be dissolved with an injection of an enzyme called Hyaluranidase.

Many times combining Juvéderm® Voluma™ with other non-invasive treatments can provide an enhanced outcome. For example:

  • Adding Botox injections can further soften wrinkles and folds to improve facial appearance.
  • Adding a facial resurfacing procedure (laser or chemical peel) can boost the effects of filler injections.

Injections may cause temporary side effects at and around the treatment site, such as tenderness, swelling, firmness, lumps/bumps, pain, redness, discoloration and itching.
