Consult With Your Plastic Surgeon

During your initial consultation, your surgeon determines your candidacy for a brow lift procedure and answers all of your questions. If you decide to proceed, there will be another meeting to help you prepare for surgery.

During this pre-operative consultation, the surgeon will further review your medical history, walk you through the procedure in detail, and order any additional tests you may require.

The surgeon may also ask you to make adjustments to your lifestyle, such as quitting smoking or drinking alcohol before your surgery. This ensures that your body can heal properly during the recovery period.

Receive Medical Clearance

You may need to undergo a medical evaluation and have lab work performed to ensure you can safely undergo a brow lift procedure. You may need to consult with your primary care physician as well.

Arrange for Aftercare

You will not be able to drive yourself home from the brow lift procedure, even though it is performed under mild sedation in our office. Coordinate schedules with your caregiver so that they may accompany you to your appointment and monitor you for the first 24 hours after surgery.

Prepare for Surgery

On the day of your procedure, prepare your at-home recovery area with comfortable pillows, blankets, and anything you need to relax as you heal. Wear loose, comfortable clothing; do not apply makeup, cosmetic creams, or sunscreen.

You may be instructed not to eat or drink anything starting at midnight on the day of your procedure. Your surgeon will discuss the specific preparations you need to make for your case.
